Twelve Academy is a public charter school preparing the next generation of leaders through rigorous academics, character development, and community partnership — opening Fall 2027 in DeKalb County.
WHO WE ARE
Twelve Academy is a tuition-free public charter school founded by Made for Bigger, Inc. and authorized through the Georgia State Charter Schools Commission. Opening in Fall 2027, we will serve students in grades K–3 during our founding year, growing by one grade level each year to become a full K–5 elementary school.
The number 12 represents government, order, and divine structure. Twelve Academy exists to train leaders who bring order and influence into the world — starting in the classroom.

To prepare students to thrive academically, develop strong leadership character, and contribute meaningfully to their communities through rigorous instruction, inclusive practices, and meaningful partnerships with families and the surrounding community.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Identity
Students learn who they are and why it matters. Our humanities-rich curriculum integrates American, African, and African American history to build cultural awareness and personal confidence.
Discipline
Structure creates freedom. From structured literacy aligned with the Science of Reading to small-group instruction and coaching-driven teaching, every classroom operates with intentional systems that help students thrive.
Excellence
High standards in every area. Grades K–2 are supported by both a certified teacher and a paraprofessional in every classroom. Grades 3–5 use a departmentalized model with targeted academic support.
Leadership
Decision-making starts early. Leadership development is embedded throughout the student experience — not as an add-on, but as a core part of formation.
Exposure
Real-world readiness begins now. Interdisciplinary learning connects literacy, humanities, and STEAM experiences so students see how their education connects to the world around them.
INCLUSIVE BY DESIGN
Twelve Academy is built to serve every learner. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where students with disabilities receive appropriate supports while remaining fully integrated in the school community. Our school will comply with all requirements of IDEA, Section 504, and the ADA.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
Twelve Academy is an extension of the work Made for Bigger, Inc. has been doing across the Atlanta metro area for years — from food distribution with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, to youth mentorship through Dapper and Poised, to supporting families through Autism With Color. This school is the next step in a mission that's already in motion.
